When you apply for a new gas connection with us at National Energy Direct, we will use the information you provide us with about your property to draw up and design your gas network connection. Using high quality software, we produce a CAD drawing of the plan and allow you to make appropriate amendments where necessary. Once you are happy with the final version of the designs, we will liaise with both you and the local council about the legal aspects of the work and come to a final agreement.

With the council’s permission to go ahead with the project, we will send the final designs to the Distribution Networks Operators (DNOs) for approval and once approved, the work can go ahead.

What You Need to Provide Us With When Applying for a New Gas Connection

When you apply for a new gas connection with National Energy Direct, you will need to provide us with the following necessary information so we can submit an application to the Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) as soon as possible to prevent any delays in the process.

You’ll need to provide us with:

• The property or site’s full address. If you are installing gas connections for new builds then you must provide the name of the site so it can be identified prior to the registration.

• A CAD/planning drawing of the property.

• Which services you require e.g. just gas or all three gas, electricity and water services.
